Microsoft must be quite pleased with their first three months ending March 31. Sales are up 60 percent, with revenue reaching $1.94 billion for their games division. The company? Try $16.43 billion.

The company shipped 2.4 million Kinect units during this quarter, which means arms were flailing around the world. A lot of you Are The Controller, it seems. Their earnings results release says that the Kinect is the fast-selling consumer electronics device in history. Is that right?

System sales were also strong — Microsoft moved 2.7 million Xbox 360s in the same time period. I expect things to blow up even beyond this for Microsoft when the finally announce their Kinect-based lawn mowing sim for Xbox 360.
