Metal Gear Online getting a new expansion, Vamp and Raiden will be playable

Want to play as Raiden or Vamp in Metal Gear Online this March? Yeah, so do we.

Today, Konami announced the third expansion pack for MGO, ‘SCENE.’ It will have several additions: three maps, gear, the aforementioned characters, and what Konami PR describes as “more.” Of course, no map or armor has the potential to beat playing as Raiden or Vamp; Unless, Konami breaks down in a few months and allows players to drive RAY around during deathmatches.

While RAY won’t be available — at least not yet — there is a new payment method available for ‘SCENE.’ Konami will begin accepting PayPal pre-orders for the downloadable content through this broken link to the MGO Store. No, this isn’t a phishing scam — Konami actually are welcoming pre-orders for the downloadable content. (And yeah, they sent us a bad link because the pre-orders won’t open until a week before launch.)

Anyway, those who choose to pre-order ‘SCENE’ will receive a Cardboard Man helmet for being a good sport and giving Konami money early. Also, a video of the content will be available for download over PSN on February 26.
