The law of videogame physics states that a game based on the movie will suck. When the movie is based on a comic book, the game will suck even harder. It’ll suck the weeping, milky vagina of Satan’s most brazen cattle, in fact. X-Men Origins: Wolverine bucked this trend, and according to Marvel, it’s a trend that will continue.
“We are not doing movie-based games anymore,” says Marvel Executive Vice President of Global Digital Media Group Ira Rubenstein. “Actually, wait … we are not doing crappy movie-based games anymore. You can quote me on that.”
Rubenstein states that Iron Man 2 has been in production since the first game wrapped up, and doesn’t want to be blamed for the abomination that was the original. He also wants us to get excited for the upcoming Thor game, and seems to believe that this all marks the start of comic-based games that we won’t be trading in two days after purchase.
Best of luck to him, is all I can say.
