Mad Catz to continue creating Xbox 360 wireless controllers

It’s all rainbows and sunshine over at Mad Catz HQ. Yesterday, the third-party peripheral and hardware manufacturer announced that another deal with Microsoft is in the books. The two companies recently signed a license agreement that allows Mad Catz to carry on manufacturing and distributing Xbox 360 wireless specialty controllers. In other words, more Rock Band basses and other sizeable products with the Mad Catz brand will continue clotting retailer shelves.

“This agreement expands our relationship with Microsoft and we look forward to shipping a range of new wireless specialty controllers, the first of which will be our wireless Fender bass guitar for Rock Band, later this month,” said Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz via press release.

“The Xbox 360 platform is a key focus of our growing licensed accessories business and we look forward to bringing Xbox 360 fans a variety of innovative and distinctive wireless specialty controllers to enhance their gaming experiences.”

More Rock Band stuff rocks, but we’re really looking forward to the potential of a wireless FightStick. Let’s do this Mad Catz.
