Luna’s Wandering Stars rides physics through space puzzles

On Steam Greenlight now, releases on March 25

Using gravity to manipulate orbit and slingshot to a desired destination is always satisfying, in an “I could have been a NASA scientist” kind of way. With titles like Kerbal Space Program and Gravity Ghost, we’ve seen the mechanic in play a lot lately. Luna’s Wandering Stars is the latest game to employ the mechanic, although it inserts it into a puzzle action game.

What is probably most enticing is the promise that each set of levels features a unique gameplay addition or tweak that makes it feel different from the other sets. Velocity, distance, and mass naturally come into play at first, but later on in the trailer we see wormholes and lasers.

Luna’s Wandering Stars is currently on Steam Greenlight. It is set to release for PC, Mac, and Linux on March 25 for $9.95, but pre-orders are being offered for $4.95.
