Unless LucasArts tosses out a surprise media blast in the next 30-odd hours (Grim Fandango 2 reveals are always welcome), it seems like the next game the studio announces won’t be a classic. According to a recent tweet by Geoff Keighley, LucasArts will reveal an original title on GTTV this Thursday night. Interesting, eh?

“LucasArts will announce a brand-new original game on this week’s GTTV — with first footage. More details soon,” Keighley said via the social network tool.

There’s a good chance this announcement is for the rumored Xbox LIVE Arcade title, Lucidity. It is, supposedly, a fresh IP developed by LucasArts. We don’t know too much about it, but according to a story earlier from this century, it is an unconventional 2D puzzle game that has players control the environment as opposed to the avatar.

Of course, this could be for something else. We’ll know soon enough. This reveal episode of GTTV airs 12:30 PST Thursday.
