Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
Yesterday, while working on our preview of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, I asked those in the office if I should make some kind of quick video to show off some of the costumes I’ve collected in the game. Everyone insisted that I should, so I did.
I also asked if I should put together a quick song to go with the video, and I found that Hamza was more than willing to share his lyrical ideas. All of his lines were pure gold, but not all of them fit with the song I wanted to do. I really wished I could have used “I wanna ogle your moogle,” for example.
The only line I kept was his best one: “You J-poppin’ my heart with those threads, girl.”
The rest of the lyrics (as well as the lead vocals, background vocals, and instrumental parts) are all me in this cover of the Final Fantasy XIII main theme.
