Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD offers 12 different Heroes at launch, and you have to combine them with the Towers and Spells to slay enemies. With 18 different Stages available for you to explore, you have to master the different Heroes.
Complete Kingdom Rush 6 Heroes tier list
To separate the Heroes, I have used three different tiers. I have completed all 18 Stages at two difficulties and here are my observations: you can make any Hero work as long as you get the Spell and Tower combos correct. That said, some Heroes are certainly stronger.
- S-tier Heroes are the easiest ones to use and they have overpowered skills.
- A-tier Heroes can elevate to S-tier under perfect use-case scenarios/Tower combos.
- B-tier Heroes will require you to show patience and master them.
S-tier
| Hero | Reason |
|---|---|
| Ignus | If I could, I would place Ignus in a separate tier of his own. This is my favorite hero, and for many amazing reasons. Ignus makes it easy for you to bypass armor, and this applies to all its key abilities. The combination of Heat Wave and Fireball is great to target single enemies and crowds simultaneously. If enemies get too close to you, there’s the Melting Core ability to take care of them. As a bonus, you have Reverse Entropy, which restores Ignus’ health whenever he uses a skill. |
| Drakkan | When it comes to shutting down enemies, nobody does it better than Drakkan. With Double Dragon, you can add an ally to aid you in your battle, while Nullifying Pulse will silence all enemies within the area for 8 seconds. Ideally, you would want to trigger this ability and then follow up with Arcane Storm to amplify your damage. While his attack speed is on the slower side, the rest of his kit makes him too strong to ignore. |
| Zefira | I am a bit biased toward magic-heavy loadouts, which puts Zefira into the S tier. He is probably one of the best support characters I have used in the entire game. For starters, she can lower the nearby enemy resistance by 30%, which is a significant number. With dazzling hammer and astral blink, you can stun groups of enemies and amplify her own damage, respectively. She can also block a fair amount of damage, which makes her such an integral character in several situations. |
A-tier
| Hero | Reason |
|---|---|
| Ashbite | Ashbite is one of the most beginner-friendly heroes to master. He has a massive health pool and great damage potential. Searing Sneeze allows you to stun and damage enemies at the same time. Blazing Breath and Wildfire Barrage are suitable for clearing crowds, while Landing Feeding Time is a hard task. You can land it to do more damage and get heals after killing enemies. |
| Oni | Oni has one of my favorite abilities in the entire game: Death Strike. With true damage, it can shred through the biggest of enemies. You have Lethal Combo, which adds a solid follow-up attack after any skill you use. This allows you to change your combos for a longer period of time. If you want to narrow down the gap with an enemy, there’s Hellish Blink. |
| Gemina | As a support, Gemina has a lot going for her. You can create a blocker with Forward Illusion and follow it up with Guardian Decoy for more protection. The more illusions you have, the better her Mirror Slashes get. Overall, she’s an excellent support, but you will have to master the creation of your clones. |
| Malik | Having a good tank is necessary at higher difficulties, and that’s where Malik comes in. With a massive pool of health, you can easily absorb a decent amount of damage from enemies, then follow it up with Earthquake, which stuns an area and all enemies inside it for 2 seconds. My favorite pick is Obliterate, which can remove a target from the map after a brief charging period. This is great against tricky crowds when you need to remove a specific enemy to nullify the rest. |
| Illiana | When it comes to range attackers, there are hardly any options better than Illiana. With her true damage ability and the chance to shred the enemy armor, you can do a lot of damage to single enemies and armored groups. If you are going up against a boss, you can combine your attacks with Glitterbomb, which lands and stuns for 2 seconds. There’s also Airborne Bliss, which will double the basic attack damage whenever she is flying. However, she does not have the highest amount of armor and health, which means that you will have to dodge at least a few incoming attacks. |
| Gerald Lightseeker | Lightseeker is a no-nonsense unit that increases the survivability of your whole squad. With Shield of Retribution, you can add armor and also reflect incoming melee damage. Similarly, Hardened Steel blocks melee attacks, and Battle Vigor will help you regenerate your lost health while Lightseeker is blocking an enemy attack. If you are caught in a rough situation, you can always evade with Fated Survival. While Lightseeker does not have the best attacks or reach, his immense survivability is a definite bonus. |
B-tier
| Hero | Reason |
|---|---|
| Connor | Connor’s kit mainly revolves around arterial slash that damages all enemies near him. He has extremely moderate defenses, and his attacks largely depend on whether enemies are near him or not. These limitations really make it hard for Connor to outrank the names on S and A-tiers. |
| Bolin | Bolin has tools like Smoke Mortar to slow a group of enemies and then follow up with Sharpened Rounds. You can also use Giant Slayer to amplify your damage based on the enemy’s health. Unfortunately, he is extremely slow, and most of the moves work well at higher levels. |
The only Hero I have yet to assess is Rhodes. Additionally, we will have two new Heroes coming our way in November and December, and they can easily shake up this tier list.
