In Tears of the Kingdom, there are four Regional Phenomena that must be investigated. Over in the Zora Domain, the amphibious inhabitants have had their water world polluted by a strange sludge. It is up to Link to help the Zora, though to do this, he first needs to find King Dorephan.

The king is hidden away, but by following clues, his location can be determined. Upon finding him, he gives Link a special gift that helps him continue his quest to save Zora. King Dorephan’s location, and directions to him in Tears of the Kingdom, are outlined in this guide.

King Dorephan’s Location in Tears of the Kingdom

During the “Clues to the Sky” quest, Link is tasked with finding King Dorephan, who hasn’t been spotted for a while. It is possible to find him through independent exploration, though most players will need help. Fortunately, the kids in the Zora Domain offer up some clues.

In the throne room, kids are running around and playing a game. When Link shows up, they’ll get secretive and stop repeating their chant. By sneaking and eavesdropping, it is discovered that the king is somewhere between Ploymus Mountain and the Zora Domain. The exact location is beside a waterfall near Lulu Lake. The coordinates are: 3668, 0601, 02024.

Finding the entrance to the Pristine Sanctum, which is where the king dwells, can be tricky. Link enters the sanctum through a hole next to a waterfall. The coordinates of the hole are: 3705, 0602, 0357. This spot can be easily reached from Ihen-a Shrine which is a stone’s throw away, though it is also possible to get there from the Zora Domain and traveling north-eastward via the waterfalls using the Zora Armor. King Dorephan will be found sitting on a blue throne. Speak to him, and he will share some of his scales which can then be used to complete Link’s quest to save the Zora Domain.

There are four Regional Phenomena in Tears of the Kingdom, and completing them puts Link one step closer to defeating Demon King Ganondorf and finding Zelda. Dealing with the Zora Domain Regional Phenomenon early on is a good idea, as waterfalls can be used to travel to some of the sky islands.
