Kinect Sports Rivals has a Battletoads reference in it

I’ll hold your hand while we cry for Rare

As the sands of time continue to drop in this hourglass called life, it’s easy to forget things — even major elements of our childhood. For instance, I completely forgot Rare was responsible for the amazing Battletoads series — the subject of many hours of joy and ire all mixed into one giant blender of goodness (Battletoads & Double Dragon forever).

Of course, I was reminded in the most unlikely of places — Kinect Sports Rivals, which has a Battletoad-themed vehicle. It always saddens me to remember how many incredible IPs Rare and Microsoft have at their fingertips, squandering them away with each passing year.
