Kinect Sports adds boxing, wild and crazy ‘Party Play’

While everyone was shouting about Duke Nukem Forever at PAX, Rare and Microsoft quietly announced two new modes for the upcoming Kinect Sports — boxing and “Party Play.”

Boxing is, well… it’s boxing. You’ll work up a sweat swinging your arms like a mad man, making on-screen Avatars pummel other ugly Avatar faces in the process. “Party Play” is… some kind of tournament-style multiplayer mode that will let your characters dress up like aliens and carrots and stuff. I don’t know, it’s kind of trippy, and I’m not sure how I feel after having seen it.

Kinect Sports
is out this fall, alongside Kinect’s November 4 release.
