Hot on the heels of their BAFTA win for F1 2010, Codemasters invited me to their offices in the middle of nowhere to speak to the development team behind their latest game, Operation Flashpoint: Red River; all week long Destructoid will be bringing you behind the scenes videos and interviews with the Flashpoint team.

This time I chat to Sion Lenton — Creative Director, to find out how and why they picked Tajikistan, how the art team have worked to create a realistic environment, why playing with guns is a thing they now do at the Codemasters offices and of course, the importance of keeping it real while still making the game accessible.
