Topher brought us news about the HD Katamari game yesterday, Katamari Damacy Tribute, and while I was excited then, I’m twice as excited now after seeing the trailer that you can find after the jump. It shows comparison video of previous Katamari titles with Tribute, and the difference is pretty remarkable — Tribute looks almost cel-shaded, with a beautiful crispness to the images and what looks like lots of new areas to explore.
That’s not all, though — hang around until the end of the video and you’ll get a list of all the artists who are participating in the game’s soundtrack. It looks like Namco called on some of the best, including popular Japanese acts such as Sexy Synthesizer and YMCK, to cover the classic songs we know and love from the series. Let me make it loud and clear in case I seem subtle: I AM REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS.
