James Bond 007: Blood Stone trailer shakes and stirs

Yesterday was one of the worst days in my career as Weekend Editor here at Destructoid. I don’t write on weekdays, which usually doesn’t bother me much, but all of a sudden James Bond news starts flying out from everywhere and I couldn’t write a single post on it. See, I am a major, major Bond fan, and I had to sit helplessly as a new game was announced and I didn’t get to write about it.

But hope shined! A trailer appeared and no one put it up so now I can. I will admit that I’m not too happy with the way Daniel Craig looks (or with all the Craig haters), but hopefully this is early stuff and they’ll be working out the sort of flatness all the characters have. I am excited, however, for the return of Bond to third person. EA was making such amazing headway with the Bond games when the rights got taken away from them and I was personally sad to see the series return to first person despite the general quality of Quantum of Solace: The Game (we’re talking 360 and PS3 here, the Wii version was an affront to humanity… DS was interesting).

Anyway, I could literally talk your head off about this, but I’m really just introducing a trailer here, which doesn’t show that much. Seems like driving, shooting and punching are all in order and that covers some the Bondian basics just fine. Plus, if you don’t get excited when you hear the Bond theme played over an exploding building there is something wrong with your brain.
