Irony: FOX News coming to Xbox 360

Recommended Videos

After years of pouring derision on the videogame industry, FOX News will soon be available to Xbox Live subscribers, alongside a number of other News Corporation properties. The nation’s vilest news channel will be joined by IGN Entertainment, The Wall Street Journal and regular FOX.

Similar to the existing HBO features, users will need proof that they’re already subscribed to these TV channels via “participating” cable and satellite providers. If they qualify, 360 owners can watch on-demand crap like Glee and Bones, as well as “interact” with smirking propagandist Bill O’Reilly and a host of other charming FOX News cohorts.

The WSJ app includes access to shows from Journal, Dow Jones Newswires, Barron’s, MarketWatch, SmartMoney, and AllThingsD.com. The IGN app will give the usual walkthroughs, news, previews and reviews, all of which I’m sure won’t look professionally dubious now.

Kinect support will run throughout all these new services, due later in the year.
