Iron Lung movie release date and countdown

Iron Lung, a cinematic adaptation of 2022’s bloodiest indie horror darling, finally has an official release date. Looks like 2026’s off to a bloody good start.

The film, helmed by YouTuber Mark “Markiplier” Fischbach, has been in production for nearly three years. Thanks to an utterly unsettling final trailer and an accompanying website, we now know when and where Iron Lung will take the plunge into theaters.

Iron Lung will hit select theaters across the United States on January 30, 2026. The confirmation came at the end of the film’s most recent trailer, which dropped on Markiplier’s YouTube channel yesterday.

As of now, it’s unclear exactly what time the film will be available on January 30, 2026, since most theaters operate on their own schedules. To be safe, we’re assuming that the film will be available at midnight in select theaters.

Financed and distributed by Markiplier himself, Iron Lung will only be available in select theaters across the United States. The official Iron Lung website, released on the same day the final trailer dropped, hosts a complete list of all the theaters showing the movie.

On top of that, the website also has direct links to each theater’s website. While none of the theaters listed have Iron Lung tickets available for preorder at the time of writing, that’s probably going to change once the new year rolls in. Most movie theaters let you preorder movie tickets about four weeks out from the film’s release, so you should be able to secure a seat at your nearest Iron Lung screening at the start of January.
