Intrepid Zelda: Breath of the Wild player tests an interesting Hinox theory

Zelda: Breath of the Wild Hinox

Hot stuff

Gaming Reinvented decided to do some Zelda: Breath of the Wild Hinox testing, and the results are pretty fun!

So we’ve seen a lot of Hinox boundary pushing in the past. They’ve been modded. Messed with. And made to fight other bosses through normal and modded means: typically by dragging them through the map for the former method. Gaming Reinvented decided to see how they’d react to lava.

As a general rule, as the short video surmises, Hinox seem impervious to lava. It’s a pain to even drag one there, but once you do, you’ll have to battle them anyway without the assistance of the magma pit. Though Gaming Reinvented points out that Hinox can get stuck in certain lava pits, depending on how deep they are.

It’s fascinating to see how¬†Zelda: Breath of the Wild Hinox, and all other enemy types for that matter, react to different mechanics they typically have no business interacting with. People will go through extreme efforts to mess with anything in this game, from NPCs to enemies, and I love it. The same goes for things like extreme sunburns: something most players will never live to see unless it’s directly pointed out.
