Spidey is headed to PC

Since its initial release back in 2018, Insomniac’s Spider-Man has become one of the most well-loved games of the previous console generation. Of course, it’s always been exclusive to the PlayStation, so PC-only players haven’t been able to play as their favorite web-slinging hero — that was, until now. During today’s State of Play, Insomniac announced that a remastered version of Spider-Man will be available for PC on August 12, 2022.

The remastered version of the game was already made available back in 2020 when the PS5 was released (that’s where Peter’s notorious baby face came from), so we’re not expecting anything all that new, but the fact that Spider-Man will be more widely accessible is news enough, I think. I’ll be looking forward to spending some more time in photo mode, which will hopefully look even better on some PC graphics, and I might even have to see if I can download a mod or two.

In addition to a port of Spider-Man, Miles Morales is also coming to PC, although the wait is going to be a little bit longer, because it’s not coming until later this fall. You can check out the full info in the blog that PlayStation posted on their website.
