Geno’s back, and he’s causing all kinds of chaos around the Chapter Seven, season four island in Fortnite. To keep up with what’s happening and progress the main storyline, you need to tackle his story quests, but he’s got a secret mission called ??? with a hidden requirement you have to finish to get things moving.
It’s pretty tough to get this story quest series moving since there’s no guidance for what the initial secret objective is, and you can’t unlock any of the other missions until it’s done. If you’re stumped and unable to get moving, here’s how to start Geno’s story quests in Fortnite.

How to complete ??? Geno quest in Fortnite

To progress through Geno’s ??? quest so you can start his story series, you need to eliminate players in Fortnite. In total, you need to take out six players to check off this goal and unlock the additional quests that come after it.
It’s a lot simpler than you might expect, but a tough goal to discover at first, as you’re likely looking for a marked objective or clue around the island instead of thinking about taking down players for it. This is all you need to do to progress, though, so first focus on getting some solid weapons from the loot pool, then move on to finding enemy players anywhere around the vast island to get it done.
Geno story quests secret requirement in Fortnite
The hidden requirement for the initial ??? quest that unlocks the rest of Geno’s story missions is to eliminate players in batches. First, you need to take out two, then four, and finally, six to complete it and gain access to the additional trials that come afterward. Luckily, your progress stacks for this quest, so you only need to take out six enemy players in total to get it done.
The key part of this mission is that you must take out enemy players, not NPCs or bosses, to get it done. Some quests count both, but others specifically call for one or the other. Only fellow Fortnite players you manage to take out contribute progress to this quest, so seek out others to battle to get it done.
The objective will remain secret the entire time you’re working through it. This means the quest will never change or update to display the “eliminate players” mission, and instead will only track your progress under the “???” objective. As long as you keep at it until you successfully take out a total of six players, though, you’ll eventually get it done, and the next quest in this series will appear.

If you’re up for it, there are plenty of other missions you can move on to after checking off this one. Next, you may consider working on consuming an item at Blinky Island, Pinky Island, or Pac-Man Island, using Admin Panel codes, getting all Chapter Seven, season four Sprites, and acquiring Power Ups.
