R.E.P.O.‘s Sunstone Update has kicked off a Halloween event, and it features something called “Pleasing the Moon.” While the name might sound funny, it’s actually a pretty cool in-game event that will be available for a limited time. To please the moon, you will have to meet certain requirements while submitting your loot. Loot submission remains the same, and this event works on all available maps. When you submit loot, you will find a beam of laser lights right at the top. If your loot manages to intercept these laser lights or beams, the screen will announce that you have managed to please the moon. This will make you eligible for the rewards.
To qualify for the rewards, you have to ensure that your loot items are stable. At first, the laser beams will not be very high, so it’s pretty easy to intercept them. As you keep leveling up, the towers will increase in length. As a result, you will need to stack your loot items carefully to ensure they are stable while intercepting the laser beams.
As for loot, all items qualify for the rewards as long as you manage to stack them. However, prefer getting loot that is taller once you level up the tower sufficiently. This will make it easier for you to hit the laser at the top. That said, you should also look for loot items that are flat, since they can form a stable base when you stack multiple items together.
If you manage to place the bomb, you will find golden pumpkins spawning as your rewards. These pumpkins will be worth approximately 35% of the loot you submitted. They are really cool collectibles that allow you to increase the value of your runs. I certainly wish this mechanism were added permanently because I am in love with it, but you can make the most of this special event during Halloween.
