How to place the Rose Garlands in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Cogsworth and Lumiere are determined to throw you a grand party in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Before it can begin, you have to help them get it set up, which means you must place the Rose Garlands where they belong.

Most of the decoration and prep work for the party is fairly straightforward, but this task is tougher than you might expect. If you can’t figure out how to get past this step, here’s how to place the Rose Garlands in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

You can place the Rose Garlands in the hall near the windows during the A Guide to Better Castle-Keeping quest by interacting with Cogsworth under the arches directly across from the piano. This spot is located right near the Realm entrance. The information you’re given here is a bit misleading, as the wall really has fully open arches, not windows, so finding the right spot can be tough.

This task is also tough since you’d likely expect to be searching for a sparkling interaction point somewhere on the actual arches, not on Cogsworth himself. In all other quests, you don’t interact with a character to place an item down, so this one is certainly out of the ordinary. Cogsworth does have some sparkles on him, but if you’re looking around for a place to put the Rose Garlands, he’s quite easy to overlook.

Since this task is unusual, it also seems to be a bit glitchy. I had to circle around Cogsworth many times and push him around a bit before the “Interact” option finally appeared. If you run into this issue, just keep moving around and try to face him from different angles until the option finally appears. If you still can’t get it to show up, try completely restarting your game.

After interacting with Cogsworth, select the Rose Garlands in your inventory, followed by the “Transfer” option. As soon as you do, they’ll appear wrapped around the arches, and the party will finally be ready to begin. There’s still more work to be done in the A Guide to Better Castle-Keeping quest, though, and you’ve still got more to do before you can officially unlock Lumiere and Cogsworth.
