Aion 2 allows players to get access to both extra range and increased movement speed via the franchise’s signature Pet Transform mechanic.
This time around, though, unlocking it will require both quite a bit of grinding and being in the right place at the right time. Here’s how to unlock and perform pet transformations in Aion 2 Global.
How to Pet Transform in Aion 2
You can Pet Transform in Aion 2 by increasing a pet’s Insight level to 3, equipping it, and then consuming one Empathy Candy. Each candy gives you access to a five-minute transformation, but only regular pets have access to it (I’m sorry, Black Dragon fans). You can max out your pet’s Insight level by gathering 100 of their souls post-acquisition, 25 for level 2 and 75 for level 3.
The souls can be acquired by opening reward chests, purchasing the pet via the Black Cloud Merchants, and in many cases, as loot by defeating them in the wild. To see if your chosen pet’s soul can be farmed, check out our list of all pets in Aion 2 & how to get them.

How to get and farm Empathy Candy in Aion 2
You can get Empathy Candy in Aion 2 by purchasing it for 20x Centuryroot Tokens while at the Shugo Festival Shop, as well as via Festival-related achievements. The tokens can be acquired by completing Shugo Festival minigames and then expending 1x Shugo Festival Reward Key. The game’s Global Launch Celebration Shugo Check-In event also rewards you with an extra 5K on the fourth day.
The Festival is unlocked at level 13, with its minigames being available hourly from midnight to midnight. Just make sure to mark the time, as you will only have around two to three minutes to join per 60-minute cycle.
Apart from the Candy, the Shugo Festival Shop also has three exclusive wings, two sets of skins in Lightpath Trace (Rare) and Skilled Expert (Unique), as well as multiple artworks and the Wandering Merchant Lugi pet for sale. As they are not one-time-only purchases, you can also use the shop to farm monthly amounts of Daevanion Crystals, Souls Crystals, Stigma Shards, and Radiant Odyle shards.
