How to harvest Maui’s gift to the Valley in Disney Dreamlight Valley

What can I say except 'you're welcome'?

As part of the Lovely Monsters Star Path event in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’re going to have a lot of duties to complete in order to earn Laugh Canisters and get your hands on those sweet, time-limited rewards. One of them, concerning Maui, is a little confusing at first glance.

If you’ve ever seen Moana – and if you’re playing this game, there’s a high likelihood that you have – you’ll likely also have memorised at least half of the lyrics to Maui’s iconic song:

The rap portion in the middle of this song holds the answer to this riddle-esque duty:

“I killed an eel, I buried its guts. Sprouted a tree, now you’ve got coconuts!”

To complete this duty, all you need to do is set out in search of Coconuts and harvest 50 of them.

Coconut trees are unlocked through Maui’s level 2 friendship quest “Burying the Eel”.

With three Coconuts per tree and three Coconut trees in the Valley in total, you’re more than likely going to have to harvest a few times unless you get lucky and spark a golden harvesting spot. Coconut trees take approximately 30 minutes to respawn their bounty, so you’ll have plenty of time to complete other Star Path duties in the meantime.

If you want to boost the number of Coconuts you can harvest, you can go to the Moana Realm and harvest three from the Coconut tree on the Left side of the island.

Harvesting 50 Coconuts will reward you with 5 Laugh Canisters, which can be exchanged for Star Path Rewards.
