To successfully finish Star Path events in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ve got to work your way through all kinds of tricky duties. One of the tougher ones you’ll face in the Seafaring Star Path event asks you to hang out with someone with a collection of dinglehoppers.
Even if you consider yourself to be a Disney expert, it can be tough to solve duties like this one when there are over 70 villagers to keep track of already, and the roster just keeps growing. If you’re struggling to figure this one out, here’s how to hang out with someone with a collection of dinglehoppers in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Who is someone with a collection of dinglehoppers in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

The villager with a collection of dinglehoppers is Ariel in DDV. In the film The Little Mermaid, Ariel finds a fork while exploring some underwater ruins. Upon showing this item to her flying friend Scuttle, she’s told it’s called a dinglehopper, as the bird pretends to know a lot about the human world but actually doesn’t.
Ariel has a treasure trove grotto packed with artifacts from the human world, making her the one who has a collection of dinglehoppers for the purposes of this Star Path quest.

Hang out with someone with a collection of dinglehoppers in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To complete the hang out with someone with a collection of dinglehoppers duty for the Seafaring Star Path event, you need to hang out with Ariel for a total of 30 minutes. To do so, locate her in the valley, interact with her, and select the “Let’s hang out!” option.
Once you’ve started the hang out session, it’s up to you how you choose to pass the time. You can simply stand around doing nothing at all, or instead take her along for the ride while you tackle valley tasks or work through quests. As long as the hang out session is active, you’ll slowly gain progress for this task regardless of what you do.

Hangout duties like this one are a bit finicky, which means you might not see the time steadily going up as you hang out with Ariel. Be patient, as it tends to randomly jump up in large increments rather than progressing as each minute passes by.
When it nears the end of the required hang out time, this duty might get stuck. If you notice that the tracked time hasn’t changed in a while, consider ending the hang out session, as this usually triggers completion for the quest. If it doesn’t, it’ll at least properly update the tracked time, and you can then ask her to hang out again immediately after.
Successfully finishing this task gets you 20 Tokens to spend in the event. If you need more, consider working on additional tasks next, like crafting a Helm Bookshelf for your nautical charts, giving a boy who never grows up his favorite gift, and feeding Sea Turtles their favorite food.
