The Seafaring Star Path event in Disney Dreamlight Valley features all kinds of duties for you to tackle, many of which are themed around the sea. One of the trickiest ones you’ll face asks you to craft a Helm Bookshelf for your nautical charts.
There are loads of unique furniture items in the valley, many of which are tied to special crafting recipes you can unlock in different ways. This one is especially tough to get your hands on, so here’s how to craft a Helm Bookshelf for your nautical charts in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

To complete the craft a Helm Bookshelf for your nautical charts duty for the Seafaring Star Path event, you need to craft a total of three Helm Bookshelves in DDV. Once this recipe is unlocked, you can find and use it at any crafting station by searching the word “helm” and spending the required supplies to make it.
Crafting this item is easy enough if you have the recipe unlocked, but there’s a fairly decent chance you might be missing it, which is where things get tricky. It’s not a recipe that’s available to you right away, and instead requires you to unlock a specific character and work through some key tasks to acquire it.

How to get Helm Bookshelf crafting recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Helm Bookshelf crafting recipe can be purchased from Prince Eric’s Blueprint Table for 2,500 Star Coins. His stock rotates from a large pool of potential items each day, so finding this recipe available to buy depends a bit on luck. There are also a few key requirements you need to have done for it to appear.
- Unlock Prince Eric. You must have him in your valley to acquire the Helm Bookshelf crafting recipe. To get him, you first need to unlock Ursula and Ariel. Ursula also needs to be at level 10 friendship, as her level 10 mission, Poor Unfortunate Prince, leads to unlocking Eric.
- Build Prince Eric’s house. The table where you can buy the Helm Bookshelf is inside his home, so you need to place and build his castle before you can access it.
- Complete the Back on Waves quest. It’s Prince Eric’s level seven friendship mission, so build your bond with him to this level to unlock it. You must finish this quest for Prince Eric’s Blueprint Table to be added in his home.
- Visit Prince Eric’s Blueprint Table. Head inside Eric’s castle, turn left after entering, and turn left again to find the table tucked away in the corner. Check this table daily until you spot the Helm Bookshelf crafting recipe. It’s a good idea to buy everything there each day to make room for recipes you don’t have, like the Helm Bookshelf, to spawn in.
Upon reaching level eight friendship with Donald Duck, you are also given a Helm Bookshelf as a reward. This doesn’t get you the crafting recipe, though, so you must work on buying it from Eric to check off this Star Path duty.
Helm Bookshelf crafting recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once you have the crafting recipe for the Helm Bookshelf unlocked, you can make it at any crafting station using 25 Dark Wood and five Iron Ingots. It’s a bit costly to make, and you need to craft three of them for the Star Path event, so it may take you some time to stock up on all of the required materials.
Upon crafting three Helm Bookshelves, you’ll earn 25 Tokens to spend in the event. It’s a solid prize for your efforts, but you’ll probably still need more to obtain most big rewards. Some other tasks to tackle for additional Tokens include feeding Sea Turtles their favorite food and petting your Companion.
