Following the main story of Starfield eventually leads you to a Constellation quest called ‘Into the Unknown’. You learn about temples containing Artifacts which grant you great powers and, soon, the game points you to many planets where you can track down more. Likely, that’s how you heard about the attractively named planet, Skink. It, too, hides a temple where a new power awaits. If you’re looking for the Skink planet location in Starfield, we have that along with our survey guide below.
Steps to find Skink in Starfield – Location
Skink isn’t exactly a hidden gem of a planet. In fact, you may have even spotted it if you’ve traveled to Akila City in your playthrough. To track down the location of Skink, open up your navigation menu and head to the Cheyenne star system. You’ll find it there alone, without any friendly moons to keep it company.
Skink survey guide
Skink is a hot, dead rock devoid of life. You won’t find any flora or fauna to survey on Skink, only some resources. Oddly, there is some water, so maybe the ball of dust isn’t so hopeless after all.
All resources on Skink
- Water (H20)
- Lead (Pb)
- Nickel (Ni)
- Copper (Cu)
- Silver (Ag)
- Cobalt (Co)
- Fluorine (F)
- Mercury (Hg)
Skink planetary traits location
The planet includes three traits to discover. Naturally, the first is the Gravitational Anomaly found on every planet with a temple and Artifact. Here are the three planetary traits and the biomes on which they were found.
Traits
- Gravitational Anomaly – Rocky Desert
- Active Faulting – Plateau
- Prismatic Plumes – Hills
Of course, the main reason to travel to Skink is to locate its temple. To track it down, pull out your scanner and look around until your interface starts to get static. Follow the direction of the interference until you come across the temple. Head inside, float toward the dancing lights, and enter the creepy portal.
