How to get the Froggy armor set in Tears of the Kingdom

Just a toad caught in a rainstorm

Rainy weather can often put a damper on any climbing aspirations Link might have inĀ The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.Ā There are potions you can brew to help deal with the rain, but the Froggy armor set can also help strongly negate the slip you might catch on the slope.

The Froggy armor set is certainly useful for ambitious climbers in Tears of the Kingdom, and to get a set for yourself, you’ll need to complete a long series of quests for the Lucky Clover Gazette. Doing this won’t just net you a good armor set, though, but an excuse to visit every stable in Hyrule and unlock some handy features. It’s well worth doing.

First, head towards the Lucky Clover Gazette HQ in the Hebra region, across from Rito Village. Luckily, if you’re on your way there for the Regional Phenomena quest, you’ll easily run across it. Head inside, chat with Traysi and Penn, and you’ll be able to start the quest chain.

Completing this series of side adventures is how you get the Froggy armor set, piece by piece. After completing a certain number of Potential Princess Sightings adventures, you’ll get a piece of the Froggy set. Here are the rewards:

  • 2 quests done: Lucky Clover Gazette glider fabric
  • 4 quest done: Froggy Sleeve
  • 9 quests done: Froggy Leggings

Finally, after you’ve finished all 12, you can head back to the Lucky Clover Gazette for the final piece, the Froggy Hood.

Here are the baseline stats and description for each Froggy armor set piece.

Wearing these will build up Link’s Slip Resistance. So if you want to stop tumbling down cliffsides while you’re climbing, this should drastically reduce your slippage.
