How to get Stitch in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Ohana applies to socks, too

One of the most beloved characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley (although I may be biased) is Stitch. Unfortunately, unlocking Stitch and bringing the adorable Project 626 to the Valley is not straightforward, but don’t worry — we’ve got you covered.

Loosely speaking, there are five steps between you and getting Stitch as a resident in your Valley, and most of them involve socks in various states of disrepair. Unfortunately, these steps are part of a multi-quest chain, and you’ll have to wait at least 10 days between beginning and completion.

How to complete The Mystery of the Stolen Socks

To begin your quest to get Stitch, head to Dazzle Beach and search until you see a Slimy Stocking. Thankfully, this stocking seems to appear mostly on the small island just off the coast, but it could be anywhere, so be thorough.

Once you’ve found it, find Donald Duck and he’ll tell you that it now has bite marks on it, as though someone tried to eat it. He’ll also disclose that he’s seen strange lights in the sky; that you, Stitch?

In Donald’s home, destroy the trash piles and uncover a strange device. Return to Donald, and he’ll promise to keep an eye out for any more strange happenings. Unfortunately, it will be five days before you can move on to the next quest

After five days, search the Peaceful Meadow until you find yet another sock. This sock, as it turns out, belongs to Goofy.

Find Goofy and give the sock back to him. In return, he’ll tell you that he also saw lights in the sky before his sock went missing. Upon entering his house, you’ll find some now-familiar piles of trash, so clean up again. This earns your next not-so-subtle clue as to who is behind this string of sock thefts – Blue Fur.

Take the Blue Fur to Donald, who uses the strange device to gather DNA from the fur, but he still can’t get a 100% match, so you need a third clue

After another five-day wait, you can find the third and final sock in the Forest of Valor. Pick it up, then track down Merlin, as it belongs to him.

Talking to Merlin reveals that not only has he seen bright lights in the sky as well, but books have also gone missing from the Dreamlight Library. After investigating, you’ll find the same old trash heaps that you cleaned up for Donald and Goofy. These yield a Mysterious Claw. This is the final clue Donald needs to tell you who has been causing all of this chaos, as well as how to help them land.

Armed with the strange device, head to the island near Skull Rock on Dazzle Beach. Find a suitable location and place the strange device down. This triggers a cutscene involving Stitch’s ship crash-landing in the sand.

Talk to Stitch once you exit the cutscene and then visit Donald, explaining everything. He’ll not be the most welcoming, perhaps understandably, but he’ll suggest talking to Scrooge, thus arranging a house for Stitch in the Valley.

Once you’ve done this, all that’s left to do is place Stitch’s house down and pay 10,000 Star Coins for its construction.
