How to get Shiny Stones in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

How to get Shiny Stones in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

There’s only one base evolution, and there’s one easy pickup: kismet

While stones have done a bit of heavy lifting for evolving Pokemon, several of them are extremely light in terms of their overall usefulness. That includes Shiny Stones in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, but here’s here to find them all the same.

What do Shiny Stones do in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Shiny Stones are once again used for evolving Pokemon. All you need to do is have a Pokemon who can evolve via a Shiny Stone. Then, select the item from your bag, and select that Pokemon.

At launch, the only Generation 9 evolutionary track for Shiny Stones is Floette into Florges.

You can find one Shiny Stone in the Paldea overworld

One Shiny Stone is located in a fixed location to the northeast of Alfornada (the town above the caves in southwest Paldea).

The exact location can be found in the gallery above.

Your Pokedex will give you one for free once you’ve caught 150 Pokemon

After catching 150 Pokemon and recording them in your Pokedex, go to the Pokedex menu (X) and earn it from the reward track.

You can find the full breakdown of the Pokedex reward system here.

You can get them from the auction house in Porto Marinada

As one of many items available in the auction house’s repertoire, you can earn Shiny Stones through the auction house, if you check the offerings each day.

We would not recommend this method though, as there are far easier ways to get them.
