Once you’re done setting up your frame and weapon builds in Warframe, it’s time to move on to the more niche parts of your loadout. Your companion choice and its build are the logical next step, providing assistance in resource gathering, horde clearing, or general support duties. One of the better companions mainly shines in Railjack content but is still useful elsewhere. Here’s how to get the Nautilus companion in Warframe.
Where to find Nautilus’ parts in Warframe
To make Nautilus in Warframe, you must acquire its blueprint, Carapace, Cerebrum, and Systems. Those parts are all found within Neptune Points of Interest and from the Arva Vector Defense mission on Neptune. The Points of Interest are found in each mission and must be Abandoned Derelict Caches for a chance at a Nautilus part. All four parts have the same percent chance of dropping from the following locations:
- Neptune Proxima Defense – Rotation B: 4.65%
- Neptune Proxima Defense – Rotation C: 4.26%
- Neptune Proxima Point of Interest – Abandoned Derelict Caches: 6.06%
While the above numbers may imply that farming Points of Interest is the most efficient, these only show up once per mission and require you to complete the mission to get the reward. Instead, the best way to get Nautilus parts is to run the Arva Vector Defense mission in Railjack, take care of the Abandoned Derelict Point of Interest if it’s present, and run the rest of the Defense mission for 20 waves. This will get you a chance at the Rotation B and Rotation C rewards at wave 15 and wave 20 respectively.
Is Nautilus worth getting?
Nautilus comes with two mods exclusive to it, Auto Omni and Cordon. Auto Omni will repair hull breaches and extinguish fires near you every 20 seconds. Meanwhile, Cordon will force enemies within the target area to be pulled in, potentially setting up follow-up kills. As you may have guessed, Auto Omni should be removed unless you’re running Railjack content. As for Cordon, that ability can prove super useful to prime your enemies for some form of explosive or penetrating weapon, such as the Nataruk. As a Nataruk enjoyer myself, I’ll likely get Nautilus once I have the urge to run Railjack content.
