The Fleuve Cendre Ferryman is a free 4-star Sword in Genshin Impact obtained by fishing in Fontaine. Here’s exactly what you need to do in order to obtain one of Furina’s best free-to-play weapons!
Fontaine Fishing Association location
First, talk to Delaroche, Fontaine’s representative for the Fishing Association. She can be found on some ruins jutting out of the water to the east of the Court of Fontaine.
Buy both the Sour Bait and Flashing Maintenance Mek Bait formulas from Delaroche for three pink Medakas each. You will also need the formula for Sugardew bait, which you can buy from the Sumeru Fishing Association in Port Ormos.
Craft the required bait at any alchemy crafting bench. To buy and fully refine the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman, you will need a total of:
- 12x Flashing Maintenance Mek Bait
- 60x Sour Bait
- 36x Sugardew Bait

To buy the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman Sword, you will need the following fish:
- 4x Maintenance Mek: Platinum Collection
- 10x Rippling Heartfeather Bass
- 10x Blazing Heartfeather Bass

Fleuve Cendre Ferryman refinement materials
The Fleuve Cendre Ferryman’s refinement materials are Martens’ Omni-Fix, which Delaroche also sells. You will need four Martens’ Omni-Fix items to fully refine Fleuve Cendre Ferryman. To buy all four refinement materials, you will need a total of:
- 8x Maintenance Mek: Platinum Collection
- 20x Rippling Heartfeather Bass
- 20x Blazing Heartfeather Bass
- 24x Streaming Axe Marlin
These don’t include the cost of the weapon itself. Add the fish figures together to get the total cost of the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman and all of its refinement materials.
Where to find Maintenance Mek: Platinum Collection
Maintenance Mek: Platinum Collection can only be found at one fishing spot just outside of Poisson. Teleport to the town of Poisson, then take the nearby water portal to be taken to the beach. Head south, and you’ll see a metal platform with a diver named Yves. The fishing spot is just off the edge of the platform.
Maintenance Mek: Platinum Collection only appears in this spot at night, between the hours of 18:00 and 6:00. Change your in-game time by opening your main menu and selecting the clock-shaped icon on the left. Drag the clock hand until it’s pointing to the right and slightly down.
Fish are restocked 72 hours after you collect them. You may need to revisit this spot multiple times over a few days or ask a friend if you can fish in their world.
