How to get Dusk Stones in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

There’s only two Dusk Stone evolutions to worry about

Ah the spooky Dusk Stone. What does it do, exactly? Well, it triggers two evolutions in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Here’s how it works and how to pick them up.

What do Dusk Stones do in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Dusk Stones are once again used for evolving Pokemon. All you need to do is have a Pokemon who can evolve via a Dusk Stone. Then, select the item from your bag, and select that Pokemon.

Here are all the evolutions you can trigger through a Dusk Stone:

  • Murkrow -> Honchkrow
  • Misdreavus -> Mismagius

You can find one Dusk Stone in the Paldea overworld

You’ll be able to grab a Dusk Stone in West Province (Area Three), which is near Cascarrafa (to the east, in the mountains).

The exact location can be found in the gallery above.

Your Pokedex will give you one for free once you’ve caught 130 Pokemon

After catching 130 Pokemon and recording them in your Pokedex, go to the Pokedex menu (X) and earn it from the reward track.

You can find the full breakdown of the Pokedex reward system here.

You can get them from the auction house in Porto Marinada

As one of many items available in the auction house’s repertoire, you can earn Dusk Stones through the auction house, if you check the offerings each day.

We would not recommend this method though, as there are far easier ways to get them.
