The camera is a brand-new item that has been introduced to ARC Raiders as part of the Frozen Trail update, and it’s more useful than you might first think. While this tool does not kill any arks or enemy players, it has several important uses.
In this guide, I will first explain how you can get a camera and how to use it properly.
How to get the Camera in ARC Raiders

The Camera, a.k.a. the Basic Camera, is available as a craftable item. You can produce it at the Workbench. You’ll require the following materials.
- One Wire: You can find this easily from Electrical areas on the map. You can also find them from Salvaging specific materials and ARC tech.
- Eight Plastic Parts: One of the easiest materials to find from various types of loot.
You can craft more than one Basic Camera if you’d like. If it’s in your backpack if you die, you’ll lose it. However, you can craft more with the materials listed above, or you can also equip one from your inventory if you have extra.
How to use the Basic Camera in ARC Raiders

To use the Basic Camera, you’ll first need to have it in your backpack. Next, equip it to your Quick Use slots. It can be then used just like a consumable (that’s why you have to move it to the Quick Use slots).
Then, press the Q button and equip the Basic Camera. You can use the RMB to aim, and you can also zoom in/out. Once you’ve finalized what you have to click, you can then snap the photo.
While you can use the Camera for clicking any picture you like, few quest like the Sizing Things Up requires you to take photos of fixed subjects. To complete such quests, you’ll need the camera and then snap pictures with it.
