What started off as a joke has now become real in Palia, as a special version of Muujin called Muujimothy can now be found lurking around the map. If you manage to find and vanquish this rare creature, you can even obtain a Muujimothy Plush.
This rare Easter egg is incredibly tough to find, and the special item you can acquire from it is even harder to get. If you’re hoping to spot this elusive creature and add a very special item to your collection, here’s how to find Muujimothy and get the special Muujimothy Plush in Palia.

Where to find Muujimothy in Palia
Muujimothy can be found near the upper northern end of Bahari Bay in Palia. We’ve had the best luck finding him around the marked spot above, but anywhere around the upper area near The Outskirts and Thorny Thicket works. Some specific map quadrants in this part of Bahari Bay to search around for the best chances of finding Muujimothy are:
- D2
- C3
- E2
- F3
- C2
We’ve run into a Muujimothy around all of these areas. Generally, you have a chance of spotting one anywhere you typically see regular Muujin wandering around, although Muujimothy is a lot rarer, so it really comes down to luck and random chance.
What does Muujimothy look like in Palia?
Muujimothy is a smaller, shorter-spined, and shorter-tailed version of a Muujin. He also walks a bit differently from Muujin. When you’re traveling around quickly, this creature can be easy to miss, as it may look like just another Muujin if you’re not looking around carefully.
How to get Muujimothy Plush in Palia
Based on our gameplay experience, the Muujimothy Plush only seems to drop from the Bluebristle version of this special creature. Muujimothy comes in all Muujin variants, including the classic Muujin, the Banded Muujin, and the Bluebristle Muujin, but we’ve only seen the Plush drop from the special Bluebristle version. We’ll keep testing this out, though, and add any additional information we find here.
Tips and tricks for finding Muujimothy in Palia
Muujimothy is a difficult creature to find, and quite tough to take out even when you do manage to locate him. If you’re struggling with this process, here are some tips to help make it easier.
- Chop down trees. Many of the times I’ve run into Muujimothy, it’s been because I chopped down a tree this creature was hiding in. Head to the Thorny Thicket area and the specific quadrants mentioned above, and start chopping if you don’t see Muujimothy walking around.
- Stand still and look around. Like regular Muujin, movement startles Muujimothy into running away. A good strategy for locating this creature, then, is to stay still and move the camera around to carefully check your surroundings, especially since Muujimothy is quite small.
- Hunt with a party. Muujimothy is a popular creature, so while exploring the northern end of Bahari Bay for him, you’ll likely spot others doing the same. Consider teaming up to hunt for him, as it’s a lot easier to track Muujimothy down and earn the plush when you’re not attempting to do so alone.
- Run him into a tree. Muujimothy is super fast and agile, so if you spot this creature, consider purposefully chasing him into a tree. Then, share the location in chat to invite other players to join in. Once you chop the tree down, it’ll be a lot easier to vanquish Muujimothy with help.
