During the 2026 installment of Fortnitemares, there are quite a few horror icons lurking around the Fortnite island. One of them is Freddy Krueger from the A Nightmare on Elm Street series, and he’s quite a tough guy to track down.

Freddy Krueger boss location in Fortnite
Freddy Krueger only spawns at the Nightmare Neighborhood POI in Fortnite. He’s not always there right at the start, though, so keep an eye on your mini map in the upper right corner while wandering around this location for when the white skull boss icon appears. As soon as it does, he’s somewhere nearby, which means you can get to work finding him.
You can typically find him wandering around the very center of Nightmare Neighborhood, walking along the sidewalk near the street. Sometimes, he’ll be slightly invisible as he travels around in Nightmare mode, while others, he’ll simply be hanging around in his regular state.
Freddy Krueger may also sometimes impersonate The Order NPC. She does not spawn at this location ever, so if you see her here, it’s actually Freddy in disguise, and he’ll start a battle as soon as you try to approach and chat with “The Order.”

Where to find Freddy Krueger in Fortnite
You can find Freddy Krueger at Nightmare Neighborhood in Fortnite. He might be hanging around there as himself, or instead disguised as The Order. He also may not be there right at the start of the round, but it’s still a good idea to land here early on and loot around while you wait for the boss icon to appear.
How to beat Freddy Krueger in Fortnite
Freddy Krueger can be a bit of a tough enemy to beat, especially if you’re playing with friends, as he’ll often take on your appearance or that of your teammates as you battle. To successfully defeat him, keep a close eye on the real Freddy Krueger as you battle and communicate carefully with your allies to make sure you’re all targeting the right person when he does change form.
In this fight, it’s crucial you try your best to maintain distance between you and Freddy Krueger. All of his attacks are melee, so if you can keep some space between you, you’ll have a much easier time winning. Of course, this boss can also trigger his special Nightmare mode ability, allowing him to teleport right to you, but this move has a fairly long cooldown and is obvious before he enacts it, allowing you plenty of time to prepare and react accordingly.
What does Freddy Krueger drop in Fortnite?
Freddy Krueger drops the Legendary Freddy’s Nightmare item, a Slap Candy Corn, and some ammo. Occasionally, he may also drop a random Sprite, usually one of the Fortnitemares Sprites.
If you’re up for it, there are some other spooky bosses you can take on during this Fortnitemares event. Next, you may want to track down all Five Nights at Freddy’s characters, including the elusive Bonnie and Chica bosses. Not all of them spawn at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, so you’ve got to do a bit of searching to encounter the full group.
