Phil’s determined to make a hero out of Goofy, and he needs your assistance to make this happen in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One of the tougher missions he gives you throughout this process is to fish up an Ornery Crocodile.
Although Phil gives you a general area to search for this creature, it’s not very detailed, which means you may still have a tricky time tracking the Ornery Crocodile down. If this part of his friendship mission has you stumped, here’s how to find and catch the Ornery Crocodile in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Ornery Crocodile location in Disney Dreamlight Valley
During the An Unlikely Hero quest, the Ornery Crocodile can be found in a golden ripple spot within the Glade of Trust biome. This spot appears somewhere in the river near the giant willow tree Mother Gothel calls home, right in the middle of the area.
Since this creature appears in a ripple spot, the precise spawn location may vary slightly for everyone. For me, though, the golden bubble spot was directly south of the wooden bridge near the east end of the biome. This spot also cannot appear in any of the ponds or the large pool of water at the north end of the biome, so you only need to scour the river area around the tree to find it.
Most quests that task you with finding and fishing up a creature or item feature a bubble spot that’s got a unique color or some special sparkles on it to help distinguish it from regular ripple spots. This one doesn’t, though, which means it’s impossible to differentiate it from others until you actually catch the Ornery Crocodile from it.
How to get the Ornery Crocodile in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You can catch the Ornery Crocodile by equipping and using your Royal Fishing Rod to catch it from the golden ripple spot it spawns in. Catching it is easy enough; the tough part is finding where it’s hiding.
If you’re struggling to track down this elusive creature, focus on clearing all golden bubble spots you encounter throughout the Glade of Trust. In other quests where I’ve encountered this issue, I’ve sometimes had to clear old spots to make room for new ones, so give this a try to see if it helps here.
