Some of the trickiest quests you’ll encounter in Disney Dreamlight Valley task you with seeking out a specific item in the valley. One such mission you’ll come across in the Pop City Star Path event asks you to dress up with a Punk Cut.

These types of duties are some of the most difficult ones to check off, as it’s rather difficult to track down any one item, regardless of whether or not you have it. If this particular Star Path quest has you stumped, here’s how to dress up with a Punk Cut in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

What is a Punk Cut in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

A Punk Cut is one of the many hairstyles you can equip in DDV. It’s a shorter, choppy hairstyle that can be tough to pinpoint among the main hairs you have to choose from.

It’s especially hard to find since none of the hairstyles are named on the actual hairstyle page. All hairs have a name that typically appears when you first unlock them, but you’re not likely to remember this detail later, and there’s no easy way to find it.

The names of all unlocked hairstyles can technically be found under the associated category on the Collection page, but you have to do quite a bit of searching to find it. For example, Jasmine’s Bubble Ponytail hairstyle can be found in the Aladdin category, the Elegant Floral Semi-Updo hairstyle falls under the Beauty and the Beast category, and Merida’s Curls are listed in the Brave category.

Not all hairstyles are tied to Disney films, though, so lots of them are listed in the massive General category on this page. Because of how many items are available to collect, finding the right hair for this quest using this method is pretty tough, so it’s generally easier to just focus on the way it looks to locate it.

How to get Punk Cut in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Punk Cut hairstyle was originally available to obtain through The Night Show Star Path event, which ran from Oct. 9 to Dec. 4, 2024. You could purchase it for 15 Tokens on the second page of this event while it was active.

If you missed out on this event or didn’t pick up this prize when it was available the first time around, you have a second chance to obtain it in the Pop City Star Path event. The Punk Cut hairstyle is available as a vault reward, which means you can unlock it by completing Pop City Star Path routine duties.

This hairstyle is the third available vault reward in the event. Because of this, you must complete a minimum of nine routine duties to unlock it. You get the first vault prize for three duties, the second one for another three, and the one with the Punk Cut for three more.

If the vault reward page has a red chest over the Punk Cut hairstyle, this means you already have it unlocked and will instead get a red chest upon completing the required number of routine duties. It can be tricky to find in the hairstyle menu, but it’s somewhere in there.

To complete the dress up with a Punk Cut duty, you simply need to equip this hairstyle once. As soon as you do, this duty will be complete, and you can claim 25 Tokens to spend in the event.

You don’t get much of a reward for checking off this task, so if you find yourself in need of additional Tokens, there are lots of other duties you can work through next. Some good ones to tackle are Take Picture: Rock Concert Stage, crafting a DJ Booth Rig to liven up your next celebration, Picture This: Neon CD Demo Player, hanging out with a glitchy villager, and Take Photo: Neon Koi Lantern.
