How to get Neon Koi Lantern in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Neon Koi Lantern item is a Pop City Star Path exclusive reward, which means you must work through this event to earn Tokens to buy it. There’s no way to unlock this item outside of the event, so tackling the many main duties featured in it, as well as some additional routine duties, is essential for acquiring it.
You’ll find this item on page six of the event, where it can be purchased for 75 Tokens. To reach this item, you have to first work through the five pages that come before it. You unlock a new page after purchasing either two or three items from the previous page, depending on how many items are available on it. This means you’ll first need to buy around 10 or so other prizes before you reach the page that has the Neon Koi Lantern.
Once you reach page six, you’ll spot the Neon Koi Lantern in the upper right corner of the first row. It’s right next to the San Fransokyo Food Stall item. There’s only one Neon Koi Lantern featured in the entire event, so you must use this specific item to check off the Take Photo: Neon Koi Lantern duty.

You can complete the Take Photo: Neon Koi Lantern duty by taking one picture with a Neon Koi Lantern. After spending the 75 Tokens needed to buy this item, place it anywhere in the valley, equip your Phone from the Royal Tool wheel, and take any type of picture with it in frame to finish this mission.
Photo quests like this one are sometimes a bit glitchy, so if you snap a picture but it doesn’t count, try again from a different angle or in a different mode. You don’t have to save your photos for this duty, so you also might consider spamming pictures from all different spots until it finally works.
Once you’ve unlocked this item, you can also make a trip to Scrooge McDuck’s shop to purchase more using Star Coins. Placing more than one down in the valley to take your photo can also help you have an easier time checking off this mission.
