How to disgrace the Salazar family in Resident Evil 4 remake

You can complete this request in Chapter 12

As you start to wave goodbye to the castle after storming it in the Resident Evil 4 remake, you might miss a pretty easy request. Here’s how to find and complete the disgrace the Salazar family side mission.

Pick up disgrace the Salazar family request at the very start of Chapter 12

After you start Chapter 12, head forward and ride the elevator back up to the castle. As soon as you exit, there will be requests (depicted as blue posters) available just outside of The Merchant’s shop. Grab them both and pick up “the disgrace of the Salazar family.”

The request will hint at the location of a portrait, but we know that it’s actually located in the throne room.

To complete it, you’ll want to head for the throne room (which is very close to where you are now)

Make your way to the throne room (to the east if you’re looking at the map) by circling around the Ballroom into the Antechamber (which contains a few enemies, so be ready). After you enter the next room with the red flames, you’ll officially be in the throne room.

From here, head to the back of the room and look to the left. See that portrait of Ramon Salazar (the big boss of the castle)? You’ll need to throw an egg at his picture to complete the request.

If you don’t have any eggs on hand, there are two chickens available in the room to make some. Just sit tight and wait for them to lay eggs. Make sure you equip the egg and don’t eat it when selecting it from the attache case, then toss it at the painting.

You’ll get four Spinels for your trouble, and a handful of free items spread throughout some urns in the throne room.
