You can start Zorua’s Hide-and-Sneak Contest event by finding and chatting with Zorua in Pokopia. While the event is active, you can find Zorua hanging out in front of all Pokémon Centers, so choose any of them to meet up with this Pokémon.
Once you locate Zorua, interact with them and select the “Is a Hide-and-Sneak Contest going on right now?” option to officially kick off the festivities. For Zorua to appear so you can begin this event, you first need to have completed their request on Bleak Beach, which is when they first teach you to play this game, so if you haven’t made it to this point in the main storyline, you’ll need to progress until you do.
How to play Hide-and-Sneak in Pokopia
You can initiate a Hide-and-Sneak challenge by chatting with Zorua. As soon as you do, the game will begin, and your goal is to sneak up to the PC at the nearby Pokémon Center as quickly as possible without being caught. Here’s a full breakdown of how to play this game.
- Chat with Zorua. You first need to find and chat with this sneaky Pokémon outside of any Pokémon Center to get the challenge started. Once you do, you’ll be randomly teleported to a spot somewhat nearby, and the game will officially begin.
- Camouflage yourself. Before you do anything else, make sure you assume some kind of disguise using the camouflage ability. If you don’t, you’ll likely be caught right away.
- Figure out which Pokémon are hunting you. Not all nearby Pokémon are participating in the game; only Zorua and those who have a speech bubble over their head are playing. You’ll want to figure out which ones are part of the challenge right away so you know who to watch out for.
- Find a way to the PC. Once you’ve disguised yourself and figured out which Pokémon are after you, start making your way over to the PC at the Pokémon Center.
