How to complete someone is planning a joyride found quest in Fortnite

GTA meets Fortnite.

Found quests are some of the toughest ones to get done in Fortnite since they usually don’t tell you what needs to be done outside of a vague hint. One of these tasks you might end up struggling with only says, “Someone is planning a joyride.”

There’s not much to work with based on only this hint, so figuring out what you need to do can be tricky. Here’s how to complete the someone is planning a joyride found quest in Fortnite.

To complete the special someone is planning a joyride found quest, you need to meet up with Cassidy Quinn, steal Fletcher Kane’s car, and take it for a spin. There are a few important steps in this process, and it can be a bit tough to navigate, so here’s a breakdown of everything you need to do to get it done.

Visit Lonewolf Lair

To start the joyride, you need to visit Lonewolf Lair. This location can be found near the northwest end of the island. It’s west of Brutal Boxcars and south of Flooded Frogs.

Lonewolf Lair is a pretty large area, so make sure you land at the very top of this location near the front entrance to the mansion rather than down near the bottom of it on the golden pathway. You need to be by the mansion to get started on this task.

Meet up with Cassidy Quinn

Cassidy Quinn can be found standing right outside of the small building located outside of the Lonewolf Lair manor by the fountain. She usually hangs out inside of this structure, but for the found quest, she stands outside waiting for you.

Chat with Cassidy Quinn and select the “Steal Kane’s car” option. Once you do, she’ll start moving, so follow her over to the edge of the mansion to find the car you’re taking.

Steal Fletcher Kane’s car

Approach the caged car in the garage on the left side of the mansion with Cassidy Quinn. Stand near it as she unlocks the gate, then hop into the car to steal Kane’s car and officially get the joyride started.

Follow the waypoints to make a clean getaway

For the final stage in this quest, you need to drive the car through 10 waypoints to successfully steal Kane’s vehicle. The waypoints appear as glowing yellow circles with an exclamation point above them.

A new waypoint spawns each time you travel through one, so you must drive through all 10 to progress this quest. The first waypoint is at Lonewolf Lair, right by the fountain after you get in the car, and the rest of them take you on a trip over to Brutal Boxcars, right under Magic Mosses, and end right by a flowing waterfall.

The general path you need to drive is a curve from Lonewolf Lair to slightly west of Magic Mosses. You can always spot the next waypoint as soon as you drive through the previous one, so the best way to tackle this part of the quest is by focusing on your surroundings.

For fully finishing this quest, you gain one level. It’s a pretty good reward for a quest that isn’t too tough to get done once you know exactly what you’re meant to do, especially if you’re hoping to earn all battle pass rewards. Next, you might consider finding the Sabrina Carpenter Easter egg, working through all weekly quests, and tracking down some Golden Llamas.
