Fortnitemares has taken over the Fortnite island, which means there’s plenty of spooky chaos to uncover. This includes an array of special, seasonal quests like the carve pumpkins at Nightmare Neighborhood or Wonkeeland mission.
There are loads of pumpkins scattered around the island, but only a very specific few that can actually be carved. You can carve pumpkins by tracking down an interactive pumpkin and holding down the button that appears next to the “Carve pumpkin” option once you get close to it. This button varies by platform, but is displayed for everyone once you stand by a carvable pumpkin.

Pumpkin locations in Fortnite
There are lots of hidden pumpkins scattered around both Nightmare Neighborhood and Wonkeeland, way more than you need to finish the Fortnitemares quest. All carvable pumpkins sparkle and are marked with a white diamond exclamation point icon once you’re in their general vicinity, so keep an eye out for this symbol as you explore.
If you’re struggling to find pumpkins you can carve, here’s a breakdown of some precise locations you can spot them in both areas.
- Two can be found near a gazebo located in the middle of Nightmare Neighborhood, fairly close to where Freddy Krueger wanders around.
- One can be found next to the front door of a house near the southeast corner of Nightmare Neighborhood.
- One can be found on the front porch of a house located near the very south end of Nightmare Neighborhood.
- Two can be found sitting on either side of some stairs leading up to a home near the southern end of Nightmare Neighborhood.
- Two can be found to the right of the red wooden building located near the central courtyard area at Wonkeeland, close to the west end of this POI.
- Three can be found near the far south end of Wonkeeland, sitting by a tree near Corndawg’s Sauce Express.
There are lots of spots where you can find carvable pumpkins. Overall, though, at Nightmare Neighborhood, you’ll want to look around the front doors of houses to spot the majority of them. Over at Wonkeeland, look near small patches of greenery, like trees and bushes, around the area to find them.
Carve pumpkins at Nightmare Neighborhood or Wonkeeland in Fortnite
To complete the carve pumpkins at Nightmare Neighborhood or Wonkeeland quest, you need to find and carve a total of five pumpkins around these two locations. You can carve all five at just one of these spots, or instead visit both to carve a couple at each one. All that matters for the sake of the mission is that you do eventually manage to carve five across both areas.
