Star Path event duties are generally designed to be a bit tricky, as they’re supposed to challenge your Disney Dreamlight Valley knowledge. Some tasks are especially tough to decipher, though, as is the case with the angle for an angler quest.
This mission is by far one of the most difficult Star Path quests to decipher, as it’s tough to figure out what’s being asked of you here. And even when you do understand this duty, getting it done is quite a feat. Here’s how to angle for an angler in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

What is an angler in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
The angle for an angler task refers to an Anglerfish in DDV. This rare fish can only be caught in the shadowy Forgotten Lands biome. There are many unique fish swimming around the main valley and DLC worlds, but for the Elements of Nature Star Path quest that tells you to angle for an angler, you must seek out the elusive Anglerfish.

To complete the angle for an angler quest, you need to find and catch a total of three Anglerfish. This fish can only be caught from golden ripple spots throughout the Forgotten Lands biome, which makes it a rather tough one to get.
The Forgotten Lands area only has two small ponds to fish out of. This factor, combined with the low spawn rate of golden bubble spots, means it may take several hours to get the three Anglerfish you need for the Star Path event if you go about it the regular way.
Luckily, you can make this quest a lot easier by crafting and using either Miracle Fishing Bait or Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait. Both potions are applied to your Royal Fishing Rod when used and then turn every white pool you toss your line into gold, guaranteeing you’ll get an Anglerfish as long as you cast your line in the Forgotten Lands area.
You must toss your line into white ripple spots, not blue ones, to get the gold bubble spots you need. Both potions are a bit costly to make, but it’s worth using one to get through this otherwise very tedious and tricky task. Miracle Fishing Bait lasts for 10 white ripple spots, while Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait can be used for 25. Here’s what you need for each one.

Successfully completing the angle for an angler duty gets you 10 Tokens to spend in the Star Path event. It’s a pretty small prize for the amount of effort this one takes, but if you want to claim all event rewards, you’ll need to get it done. For additional Tokens, consider working on other key duties next, like practicing mine-fulness, crafting a potion you can really “dig,” feeding the Ravens their favorite food, and cooking a fairly fancy dinner.
