• Max-level profession bonuses for all roles. Once the glow is active, the villager you’re hanging out with is able to grant bonuses for all valley professions, not just the role you have assigned to them. For example, if you have Merlin as a mining specialist, but then activate his glow, he can then find extra goodies for you while you perform mining, digging, fishing, foraging, gardening, Timebending, and Snippet catching as opposed to his usual perks, which would only be mining. This effect is only active while the glow is, so your villager will return to their usual role once it ends.
• A heart icon above your best friend to let you know their status. While the glow is going, you’ll spot a special bar over the villager’s head, which helps you keep track of how much usage you can get out of it before it ends.

You can activate the best friend glow by filling up the best friend bar. This can be done once per day for each villager with whom you have a level 10 relationship, and the bar resets at 5am every day so you can start all over again.

You can fill up the best friend bar by generally spending time with and interacting with villagers. Specifically, this means completing key tasks like:

• Chatting with villagers each day.
• Giving villagers their favorite gifts.
• Serving villagers at the restaurant.
• Hanging out with villagers.

How long does the best friend glow last in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Once activated, the best friend glow lasts for a limited number of gameplay activities, which means it varies depending on how you use it. It does not decay over time as the horse sparks feature does. Instead, it sticks with you until you’ve used it up.
