Meccha Chameleon has been steadily growing in player count since the game’s launch on Steam, and it’s mainly due to how much fun you can have with your friends. The core gameplay loop is simple. You’re split into two groups, while one group tries their best to hide, the other group needs to seek.

While you can always matchmake with random players, playing with friends is always fun. Let’s first find out how many players can share the same lobby.

How many players can join the same lobby in Meccha Chameleon

Interestingly, Meccha Chameleon doesn’t appear to have a fixed hard cap on how many players can join a session. However, the recommended limit is between two and ten players. The quality of a session depends on the host player and their internet connection.

Someone with a stronger connection can host a lobby with more players. However, this can cause connectivity issues. If the host disconnects, the session will end immediately. Hence, you should always pick a host with good connectivity and stay under the 10-player lobby size.

How to play Meccha Chameleon with your friends

If you want to play in a pre-made group, one of you has to host a game and create a room. Once the room is ready, keep track of the room name, password, and other details. Make sure to keep the room set to private to prevent random strangers from appearing.

Next, your friends will have to search for the room name. Next, they must enter the password to join the lobby. Once done, you can start a fresh round. There are three different modes available in the current build. However, the process of beginning a fresh round is identical.
