Elden Ring features a ton of bosses for you to fight. A lot! All in all, they make From Softwareā€™s masterpiece challenging and something worth coming back to even after youā€™ve finished the game.

If youā€™re new to the game, however, youā€™re probably wondering just how many bosses do you need to fight in order to finish it. Or maybe youā€™re wondering if thereā€™s a way to avoid fighting these strong enemies and still finish the game. If you are, then youā€™re in the right place.

How many bosses does Elden Ring have?

Based on our count, Elden Ring has more than 238 bosses for you to fight. Many of these are hidden in different places in the Lands Between, which means you might miss some of them and end up missing a few good things from the game.

Some of these bosses are unique, while some are just souped-up or redesigned versions of other bosses you encounter in the game. The number of boss encounters is estimated to be around 150, while the number of unique bosses is around 112.

Main bosses in Elden Ring

Despite the staggering number of bosses in Elden Ring, you only have to defeat a few bosses to finish the main story. From Software didnā€™t create a clear boss order for you to follow. However, their varying strengths will require you to reach a certain level before engaging them.
