Hot Pixel gives WarioWare a run for its money

Recommended Videos

I have been addicted to mini-game titles like WarioWare and Rhythm Tengoku for some time now, so when a new game enters the ring, I tend to sit up and take notice. Hot Pixel for the PSP is Atari’s retro flavored offering to the genre, and ought to give an instant boner to fans of Pixeljam and other such nods to the wonders of vintage Atari.

Hot Pixel contains 130 mini-games and also gives you the option to download another bundle of 70 at the Hot Pixel website. The story mode is for solo play and there is also an online multiplayer for battle matches. If you have favorite mini-games, you can make a Smart Playlist of them, which is a cool tidbit of customization. If this game is anywhere near as cool as it sounds, I feel an addiction coming on. Now maybe I’ll stop furiously playing RatMaze 2 (I doubt it.)
