Hogsmeade features several helpful shops for players to explore in Hogwarts Legacy. One of the most useful stores is the Hogwarts Legacy Brood & Peck shop. While it is one of the most important shops in the game, it unfortunately that takes a long time to unlock.

Like most of the shops in Hogwarts Legacy, such as Dogweed & Deathcap, players will need to head to the faithful and magical town of Hogsmeade to peruse Brood & Peck. Within Hogsmeade itself, you can find Brood & Peck on the northern side of town, just north of the town square where the early story troll fight happens.

Teleport to the Floo Flame northeast of the Hogsmeade town square and Brood & Peck is only a short walk northwest of it. The problem with this store isn’t reaching it, but actually going inside. It is one of the last shops you unlock in Hogwarts Legacy.

Players must progress through the main story until they reach and complete the main quest “The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom.” This quest teaches players about capturing beasts to store in the Room of Requirement.

Following this main story quest’s conclusion, you can visit Brood & Peck anytime you want to. Just note that the game won’t notify you of this, which only makes the situation a bit more frustrating.

When you head into the Hogwarts Legacy Brood & Peck shop, you’ll find that it sells many of the animal byproducts and materials used in upgrades for your gear via the loom.

Here are all of the items you can purchase at the Brood & Peck:

  • Diricawl Feather: 250 galleons
  • Fwooper Feather: 250
  • Graphorn Horn: 700
  • Hippogriff Feather: 700
  • Jobberknoll Feather: 150
  • Kneazle Fur: 400
  • Mooncalf Fur: 150
  • Niffler Fur: 250
  • Puffskein Fur: 150
  • Thestral Hair: 400
  • Toad Warts: 400
  • Unicorn Hair: 700

Beast money-making, explained

Besides buying animal materials, the other main function of the Brood & Peck is making money. This is the only shop in the entire game where you can sell the beasts you’ve captured. This is one of the better ways of farming galleons in Hogwarts Legacy, too.

All you need to do is tab over to the sell side when speaking with the store’s owner, Ellie Peck. There, you can sell any of your beasts. It doesn’t matter what they are, they will go for 120 coins each.

The benefit of this is breeding constantly in the game for more animals. Then when you are close to reaching your max capacity in the Room of Requirement, you can sell the excess beasts here for coins.
