Here’s how to spot shiny Pokemon in the Pokemon: Let’s Go games

Look for a special glimmer

In the upcoming Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eeevee!, you’ll see wild Pokémon roaming around the map instead of hidden away in random encounters. I hadn’t really thought about it until now, but this approach has implications for shiny hunters. Here’s a bit of info on how it’ll work.

As reported by Dot Esports, shiny Pokémon will look like their normal selves when they’re on the map, but there’s one small tell: they’ll have “a small glimmer” with “star-like particles,” according to the site. This was inadvertently discovered at a recent press event in London. Talk about serendipitous!

Excluding a certain Gyarados that we all have in Pokémon Gold and Silver, I feel like I’ve caught a whopping two shiny Pokémon across the entire series. Maybe I’ll fare better in Let’s Go, Pikachu.
