Halo: Reach’s Noble Team deploys on September 14

Halo fans with tears in their eyes over the end of the Halo: Reach public beta now have a new date to mark on their calendars — September 14.

Bungie and Microsoft have confirmed that’s the day Halo: Reach will launch worldwide. Well, unless you live in Japan where you’ll have to wait one more day… but you probably don’t care about Halo if that’s the case, I’m sure.

Bungie says the public beta had players — some 2.7 million of them — logging in more than 16 million hours across the 18-day period that it was made available. And GameStop senior vice president of merchandising Bob McKenzie says pre-orders for the game are “off the charts.”

You think a few copies of Reach are going to be sold this fall or what?
